VISA

For all types of Visas (except transit and tourist visas):

• Duly filled in Visa application form (incomplete forms won’t be accepted).
• Passport with minimum six months validity. The applicant’s passport needs to have blank pages to affix the visa.
• Copy of passport (the first page only)
• Recent photograph with white background - one copy (Please attach a photo in the upper-right corner of the application form with glue).
• Invitation letter approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or issued by the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens 

 

For transit Visa:

• Duly filled in Visa application form (incomplete forms will be returned)
• Passport with minimum six months validity.
• Recent photograph with white background - one copy (Please attach a photo in the upper right corner of the application form with glue).
• Copy of valid visa for a country of final destination
• Copy of air/train ticket to the country of final destination
• Copy of passport (the first page only)

 

For Tourist Visa:

• Duly filled in Visa application form (incomplete forms won’t be accepted).
• Passport with minimum six months validity. The applicant’s passport needs to have blank pages to affix the visa.
• A copy of passport (first page only).
• Recent photograph with white background - one copy (Please attach a photo in the upper right corner of the application form with glue).
• A copy of hotel reservation or accommodation information in Mongolia
• A copy of the air/train ticket. （arrival and departure）
• Proof of sufficient funds, i.e. bank statements for the last six months
• Visa application accepting hours: 09.00-12.00 a.m. Monday to Friday.
• Visa application should be submitted by the applicant himself. In other cases, one can apply for a visa on behalf with an Authorization letter. After processing, concerned official would deliver visas directly to the applicant or to the authorized representative. The processing takes 3 working days.
• All nationals with Ordinary passports, who wish to visit Mongolia for private, business, tourism, and study or employment purposes, are required to have an invitation letter from their Mongolian counterparts. Invitations for all types of visas must be either approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or issued by the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens.
• Chinese nationals who hold Diplomatic and Official passports DO NOT need a visa to visit Mongolia.
